This Privacy Policy explains how Cadsysmec ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Recipes to Grocery Listmobile application ("the App") and related services. The App is a meal planning and recipe management app available on Android and iOS. It is designed to work without user accounts.

Information We Collect
We collect information from the following sources:
- Directly from you — when you use features like AI recipe extraction or submit feedback.
- Automatically from the App — device information, usage data, and error logs collected during normal operation.
- From Apple and Google billing systems — purchase receipts and transaction data when you make in-app purchases.
1)Device & App Information
We collect limited information about your installation, such as:
- A device/app identifier (used to recognize your app installation)
- Your platform (Android, iOS)
- App version number
Why: To provide core functionality that depends on your installation (like credit verification), enforce minimum version requirements, and help prevent abuse.
2)Device Attestation
On supported platforms, the App may verify the integrity of your device using platform-provided attestation services:
- Android: Google Play Integrity API
- iOS: Apple App Attest
These services confirm that the App is running on a genuine, unmodified device. Attestation results (verified/not verified) are stored on our server. We do not receive or store the raw attestation tokens after verification.
Why: To protect against fraud and ensure a fair credit system for all users.
3)Purchases & Credits
If you purchase scan credit packs, we process and store:
- Purchase verification data (receipt, transaction ID, product ID)
- Credit balance and transaction history (credits purchased, used, or granted as promotional credits)
Purchase receipts are validated with the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) before credits are granted.
Why: To deliver purchases, maintain your credit balance, prevent duplicate redemption, and support refund verification.
4)Basic Usage & Error Logs
We collect minimal operational logs, such as:
- Timestamps and results of AI extraction requests (success/failure, token usage)
- API request metadata (method, path, status code, response time)
- Error messages and exceptions
These logs are collected via a third-party application monitoring service for diagnostics.
Why: To troubleshoot problems, maintain reliability, monitor performance, and prevent abuse.
5)Recipe Images for AI Extraction (Not Stored)
If you use the AI recipe extraction feature:
- The images you submit are transmitted to our backend server and forwarded to a third-party AI provider for processing.
- Images are not stored on our servers. They are processed in memory and then discarded.
- The AI provider may temporarily process the image data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- We do not use your submitted images or extracted text to train our own AI models.
- Our AI providers are contractually restricted from using your data for their own model training.
Important: If you don't use AI extraction, your recipe images never leave your device.
Note: Recipe photographs may contain handwritten notes, personal annotations, or other visible personal information beyond the recipe itself. Please review what is visible in your photos before submitting them for extraction.
6)Feedback & Bug Reports
If you submit feedback or a bug report through the App, we collect:
- Your feedback message and type (feature request or bug report)
- Your email address (optional, if you provide it for follow-up)
- App version and build number
- Device platform, model, and OS version
- Debug logs (automatically included with bug reports)
- Your install identifier (to associate feedback with a device)
Why: To understand issues, improve the App, and optionally follow up on reported bugs.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your recipe library, meal plans, grocery lists, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to our servers and is not accessible to us.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide app features, including AI recipe extraction and credit management
- Validate in-app purchases with app stores
- Track and maintain your scan credit balance
- Monitor service health, diagnose errors, and improve reliability
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Respond to feedback and support requests
Third Parties
We share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate the App:

Only one AI provider is used at a time, determined by our server configuration. Your images are sent only to the active provider.
We do not sell or share your data for advertising or targeted marketing.
Data Retention

Your Rights and Choices
You have the following choices regarding your data:
- Skip AI extraction — You can create recipes manually. No images are sent to our servers unless you use the AI extraction feature.
- Remove local data — Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored recipes, meal plans, and preferences.
- Request server-side deletion — You can request deletion of all server-side data associated with your device installation by emailing us at support@recipestogrocerylist.com.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your installation.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your data from our servers.
- Data portability — Request an export of your data in a portable format, where applicable.
- Objection / Restriction — Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@recipestogrocerylist.com. We will verify your request using your device installation identifier and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you believe your privacy rights have not been addressed, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
International Data Transfers
Our backend services are hosted on a cloud hosting provider, and data may be processed by AI providers and other service providers located in different countries, including the United States. When your data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the service providers' data processing agreements and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms recognized under applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit — All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Access controls — Server-side data access is restricted to authorized services and personnel.
- Receipt validation — Purchase receipts are verified with Apple and Google to prevent fraud.
- Device attestation — Platform-provided integrity checks help ensure the App runs in a genuine environment.
- Monitoring — We use application monitoring tools to detect and respond to security and operational issues.
No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data using industry-standard practices.
Children's Privacy
Recipes to Grocery List is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. For significant changes, we may provide an in-app notice.
